For Police Officer Christopher Matlosz:

The law officer on patrol meets numerous people in the course of his duty. Most encounters are those of serving others who are in need, whether it be for their assistance or even a matter of enforcement. These encounters are interrupted periodically by those who will resist violently. Some are sudden and deadly - an act of the cowardly. We regret that our brother Chris would be the next statistic of such a mindless slaying of a law officer. We now rely upon everyone who wears a badge to give no rest to the culprit until he is apprehended. We shall succeed in this endeavor. Count on it.

We pray for Chris' family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

I am proud to render Officer Chris Matlosz, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.
