Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Suzanne Michelle Hopper

Matthew 5:9 (King James Version)
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

To Deputy Hopper's family, friends and co-workers, I offer my condolences and prayers for your healing and safety. Our Father above now has one more child at his side. Take comfort in knowing this is not good-bye but rather "see you later". May your body rest in peace sister and your soul continue to serve with distinction.

"In the Heart of Every Cop"

I saw the headlines tonight
And I saw you there
With your head hung low
And I wanted so to speak.

I wanted to say
My darling, my sweet
I' am sorry, but I had to go.

I tried to hang on
But the shadow was gone
Just a bright and beaming Light.

And it beckoned me
And it summoned me
And I just couldn't say no!

So forgive me my love
For you know I am true
And I love you all the while.

But the Drummer has Drummed
And you know that it hums
In the heart of every cop.
