It is so sad to hear of another officer losing their life in the line of duty. Officer Hopper when you get to heaven may you and Officer Jillian Michelle Smith and the others that have laid their lives on the line continue to watch over the officers that continue to patrol these streets and protect the citizens. God just wanted you guys because he needed more angels to watch over us here on earth. No doubt. We love you and appreciate the ultimate sacrifice and may God bless the ones you guys left behind.

I hope this prayer will bring some level of comfort to the family, friends, and fellow officers of Deputy Hopper.

Most loving God, you know the pain and sorrow of death; mercifully hear our prayer for those who mourn the death of their beloved. The nights are lonely and the days are too long. Comfort them and bring an end to the days of tears. Bless them and bring an end to their days of sorrow. Renew them with the joy of life and bring to an end their days of mourning. Let the bond of love which you have for your people be the foundation of their hope that love never ends and that precious moments with our beloved are forever held dear in our hearts. Amen.
