Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Jillian Michelle Smith

I did not know you, but based on your act of heroism you were a person of honor, integrity and love; all the character traits that I wish I saw more of today in people twice your age. I am sorry that you are gone, but your act of selflessness will be a resounding memory and call of action to institute the change that this world should never forget. I will never forget you. May God comfort and keep your loved ones as you were called home to prepare a place for them. Hopefully, others will see your loving and dedicated act and change the world in which we live in. At least, that is my sincerest hope. May your soul rest in eternal peace sister, protector and friend.

Jillian is a true hero... The decisions you make in a moments time, without even thinking about it, those that just come naturally to you... those are the decisions that define your character... and in the end the decision that Officer Jillian made forever marked her as a true HERO...an innocent little girl's life was saved because of her sacrifice. She will live forever in our hearts as a beautiful, vibrant and strong young woman...
