This is a horrific tragedy for all. Officer Smith is a hero to lay her life down at such a young age to protect the lives of the innocent. God has a plan for this special woman.

To the family, may you find comfort knowing your precious daughter is honored and remembered in prayer across the country. May God hold you and help you find peace.

No words can bring her back, but we all stand beside you to help you through these rough times ahead. God bless your family.

My heart goes out to the family and co-workers of this honorable young woman. Know that everyone that has posted a reflection did so wanting to bring comfort to the ones left behind. Officer Smith dedicated her life to protecting our country, her actions saved a child. What a Heroic sacrifice. She will never be forgotten. RIP Officer Smith.

So sad to hear of this. Officer SMITH, you will always live on in the daily actions of all officers. What you did to protect the child and mother of this family was heroic and displays the courage that all officers preform day in and day out. You were called to young to the streets in heaven but you now protect us. May God bless you and your family.
