Reflections for Sergeant Anthony Michael Wallace

Rest Peacefully My Brother

August 30, 2010

May your fondest memories bring you peace at this most difficult time. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

We wonder why this has happened
We wonder why the people are against you
We wonder a lot of things
and yet we know there will never be an answer

The bagpipes are playing
The sash is on the pin
The black tape is on the car
and the flags are flying half mast

The precession is starting
The lines of blue are forming
The blue lights are shining
and the radios remain silent.

The citizens are mourning
The suspect is running
The investigation is beginning
and JUSTICE IS COMING!!!!

My condolences to you and your family my brother. This is a sad day for our community, for another warrior has paid the ultimate sacrifice. God Speed my friend, we got it from here. You like many before you have stood in the face of evil and did not bow down, you are a true warrior in every sense, job well done. May God watch over your family.

You appeared to be a great police officer who loved his job and the outdoors. Alaska, New York, Ohio, everywhere you've been, friends and family have lost a very important person. I'm sure your friends and family now all have their own police officer looking out for them. Thank you for your service, it is greatly appreciated.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my husband after a beating by a prisoner. I know the pain and grief. Know that in order to go on, the hardest mountain to climb is to ask God to help you accept and realize that it was Satan who prompted the sin, and focus on the fact that God has that covered.
