Our State of Arizona and our entire nation mourn your loss to our presence but we can have joy and thanks knowing you are in the presence of our Lord and Savior in His kingdom serving now with all our heroic and loving brothers and sisters who have also paid the ultimate serving and protecting His children in their communities. Your name will live on for years to come in our community and your family will be well cared for by your brothers and sisters left behind. As you meet and consort with your new partners and with your new supervisor Jesus know there will be no more confrontations with those having evil intent. Rest in peace brother. In Christ.

I remember getting the news that Chandler Police had been involved in a shooting, where 3 officers were hit. I remember thinking to myself, I hope that they all make it and the suspects pay. My father also works with the Sheriffs Office and I know that any day he leaves, might be his last. You gave your life serving the people of this state and this country, you sir are a hero. I pray for your family and the other wounded officers, as well as the rest of the law enforcement community. Go easy brother, we'll take it from here.

Maricopa County Sheriffs Office
