Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

Hey Brother. It's hard to believe its been nearly 2 years now. We all miss you brother and know you are watching over everyone from above. I'm still on the big road working part time and back in our territory with the Sheriffs Office. There is not a day that goes by when I'm working that I'm not telling my partner about something crazy we have done out there. It's not the same that's for sure. You are missed tremendously and I love u brother.

Hey Brother, I just wanted to stop in and say hello. Alot has changed since I talked to you last. Last month, I hung up my badge and gun for good. I am back on the ambulance. 7 years in law enforcement and I thought I would be doing it for another 20... I have been keeping up with Dylan on FB. I still cannot believe he is in college already! I can only imagine how proud you are of him. I looked at some pictures the other day and he looks so much like you it is unreal! I miss you and love you brother.

Hey brother it's hard to think that this Friday it will be a year that Brandon and you where taken away from us. A day doesn't go by that we don't talk about you guys. This year at nationals Chirs and I sit for hours talking about the fun and all the crazy things that happen during training nights or school we all went to. Every time I get Lion out to run on a car I think of Hinkle and you. Y'all did a great job helping me train her. Brother you are missed but I know every night I check in that I have a partner who is with me watching my back. Love you brother!!!

Hey brother, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. We really miss you around here. I talked to Dylan the other day. I can't believe he is getting ready for college already! I remember him running around the kennels while YOU did all the work to fix them up. (Hey, I was there to keep you company! You know I have no mechanical skills!) I know you are super proud of him.

I see where Jeremy already told you he came to work with us part time. We are glad to have him. First thing he told me was that he was knocking down a load for you.

Kim and I talk about you often, and there is not a night that goes by that I don't think about you while I'm sitting in the middle. We laughed the other day when I brought up that time me and you "tactically cleared" my storage building because we heard a noise. Good times!

Brother, you know you are loved and missed by many. We will see you again some day.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Evans, especially to his fiancee. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Bill, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Bill's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Bill's life was about so much more than the way he died. Bill will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Evans, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

I can't really express just how much you are missed brother. I came to talk with you this afternoon after hearing about Officer Schmidt being shot and killed last night. I know that you and Brandon are taking care of him tonight as I am typing this message to you. There is still some unfinished business to take care of so I decided to go back to work part-time with St. Francis County Sheriffs Department on their Drug Interdiction Unit. The next "LOAD" is for you and Brandon. We had alot of great times working Interdiction and you couldn't have put together a better team than what the 4 of us were. We were a family on the job as well as off the job. One thing is for sure.....I wouldn't have accomplished all the projects on my house without you. I miss you brother and want you to know You Will Never Be Forgotten!

Well I finally got (Jeremy) to visit you the other day. It was very emotional. It is still hard to beleive you are not here with us physically, but we know that you are in our hearts :) We miss you !! I cannot beleive it has almost been a year. I know you laugh at his crazy tail, he was so used to you fixing everything around the house. Well now he has to pick up your slack and it is too funny. He is not very challanged in that area :) I just wanted to stop in and talk to you. Keep your eyes on him and watch over him. We love you and miss you everyday.

My Dear Nephew,
I just want you to know that you are missed so much, there is not a day that goes by that you are not in my thoughts.
I miss your mischeivious laugh and pranks at all the family gatherings, you always made sure that if we weren't laughing when we got there we would be before we left. I know that you are always watching over us along with Claudine(grandma).I love you.

Bill,

You are very missed, Jeremy and I laugh when the lights flicker on and off at the house and blame you for that. Your sign has made it to the wall, even though I forbidded you and Jeremy to have it anywhere in the house. Little Bit talks about you all the time. We miss you so much, but we know you and Brandon are safe and watching over us. We love you bunches and will see you again one day.
