Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Brian Lamar Mahaffey

I remember when I worked for the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office roughly 2 years ago, myself Deputy Mahaffey and Deputy Brandon Douglas we were always together in morning watch. We were like the 3 amigos. It's surreal that he's gone. I look at his picture and see his phone number in my phone and I cant help but cry. He was young and had a family. Im going to miss him. I love you brother...

Rest well my brother, you are allowed to be 10-07. You walk the streets of heaven now, patroling from above. Although we never met I feel like I know you somewhat from stories relaied by you cousin. He dates my daughter and we are proud to know part of your family. The general public can never understand the bonds in the LEO world, but know we all will miss you. As for your wife and child, your husband & father has helped the community in ways words will never convey. Be Proud and know you are loved.
