There is a saying from a movie that I feel fits Deputy Etheride, it is from the movie The Sandlot and it states "Heroes get remembered, but Legends never die" Deputy Etheridge, although taken much much much too soon, will never die as long as his family and friends, and even those of us who didn't know him, keep his memory alive, he will always be remembered and never forgotten, he is a Hero and a Legend!! God Bless him and his family!!

There is nothing I can say that will make the family of Brian feel better right now. I am angry and sad that this happened. The community should realize how hard we work as law enforcement officers to keep our community safe and free from harm. Brian I'll see you when I get there.

As a dispatcher and the wife of an officer, nothing brings home to me the responsibility and daily danger placed on the shoulders of all law enforcement personnel as the tragic loss of one in our community. We ask them to be fearless and face the chance of death daily. Deputy Etheridge did so with honor and dignity, and his death is an unspeakable loss. May his family and loved ones find the comfort and solace they so desperately need and deserve.
