Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff James W. Anderson

My Deepest heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Deputy James Anderson, his family and the Lee Country Sheriff Department is extended during this time of sorrow. My prayers are with you and Rest In Peace my Brother, you've went over and beyond in your service to earn your wings to patrol the highways in the heavens above.

Sincerely,
Michael R. Powell/LEO Instructor Retired.

A Salute To My Fallen Brothers

Your watch has ended still your memory lives on
Your life was that of a hero you died but not alone
Cemeteries are full of brothers that left ahead of you
Your death like all the others leaves family members blue

Your presence and the risk you took will be missed the most
To your memory we salute you as together we lift a final toast
Remembering all your courage while serving on your beat
Everyone wearing blue recalls how you wore the uniform so neat

All of us give some yet you gave us your all
We’ll never forget the sacrifice you gave before your final fall
You stayed so focused in the way you served society
Whether patrolling for criminals or drunks for sobriety

We salute you our brother for all you left behind
The many that you led as an officer you were kind
You wore your uniform with awesome courage till the end
We’ll not forget your professional bearing in hearts you tried to mend

A final Salute To You Our Fallen Brother our final cry
We’d give anything to have kept you here instead we bid goodbye
Although you’ve gone away to join heavens gate
Your memory shall live on in our hearts an angel now your fate!

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Anderson's wife, children, family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Chatom Police Officer Aaron Carpenter. All of your COPS family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members go down. This is so heartbraking, I have alot of respect for all of Law Enforcement, I have a nephew that is a Police Officer in Charlett, N.C. These guys are addmired by alot of people, I'm just sorry their jobs have them deal with these kind of people, but he won't do this to another person. I'm so srry for your families loss, I pray for all the Police Officers, Firefighters, and our Servicemen every day, but with Perpatraters like this guy out there it's so rough on our Law Enforcement. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

My life is better for having known you, even if it was only for the short time we knew each other in the academy. You were smart, compassionate, and most of all a blast to be around.

To the Family & Co-workers: I am truly sorry for your loss. I heard about this on our local news and it's really upsetting to hear of another officer dying. I am so glad you got the deviant that did this! The probmlem is there is way more deviants than good guys! I pray God gives you strength to endure this terrible time and peace in your hearts.
