Paul, Thank you for your service to our country and your dedication to the FBI. More importantly, thank you for your dedication to your family and your fellow man. You have set the bar. We should all be so well thought of when it's our time to leave this earth. All of us in law enforcement want to make a difference. You did that for many people. Coach Sorce was a great God fearing man. I'm fighting tears as I type this. For a long time we went to the same church here in Metro Detroit, where he served as an usher. He was a very giving individual, who was one of the reasons I made it to be a college athlete, he gave alot of his time to us as an assistant coach at Benton Harbor High School. He taught us how to handle ourselves with dignity and honor as high school athletes.

He was just an AWESOME human being, I don't know anyone that could have a bad thing to say about him. It saddens me that he's no longer with us on this Earth, but knowing his relationship with Christ, I know he's in a better place.

Rest in peace, Coach Sorce. We will miss you.

SA Sorce, I don’t believe we ever met. But no matter…I knew enough about you from speaking with others on your team. You were a genuine father, mentor, and provider of so much in your private life. But you were also a man of courage, dedication, and strength, and a pillar of character on the job. I am very close to someone who knew you for many years, and I found out what you meant to him and others when he said in a broken voice, “Paul had my back and our backs for [many] years. Now what do we do?” You will be missed. America must be grateful for your faithful service. Godspeed to your family and loved ones.

I fondly remember Paul as my Little League teammate from way back in the '70's. While I hadn't seen him in probably 30 years, I'll never forget what a great friend he was; even though we were the same age, I always looked up to him as a true leader.
Rest in peace old friend.
