What a tragic loss to his family, friends, and coworkers. In todays world we seldom see a man with such a wonderful personality, and dedication not only to his work, but to his family as well. I saw him as one of the best fathers I've known in a long time. He and his wife and children were a wonderful christian family. His light will continue to shine through his beautiful children.

To Dave's Family,

I was very saddened to hear about you great loss. May God comfort you and give your strength and perseverence in this very difficult time.

Dave and I were roommates for 1 school year at Penn State. Although we didn't spend a lot of time together due to the normal hustle and bustle of classes and studying, I can remember some pretty exciting Nintendo 64 video game wrestling matches with Dave and the other roommates when we were tired of studying and just needed to "relax". It's amazing how innocent those times seem now looking back.

Dave was a great guy and, although I hadn't talked with him since those college days, he will surely be missed.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.

Sincerely,
Shawn Lehman

Dear Dodi and family,

Although I only met David two or three times, i respected him and how he conducted himself around others. He was a good father, and husband and will be deeply missed by all the lives he has touched and helped through his career and throughout his own life. I just don't understand why bad things happen to good people. We lost a very good local officer and friend in David. Thank you for keeping us all safe. God Bless.

I met Officer TOME for the first time on 10/20/08 at the scene of a mobile home fire. He was very professional and was willing to help me in my duties as the fire marshal. The law enforcement community and York county has suffered a great loss in his untimely, tragic passing.
THANK YOU for your service Officer TOME

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of David. I hadn't seen him in years, but just recently ran into his mother in the past 2 weeks. Karen, I am so sorry. I got out my elementary class photos, and David and I are standing beside each other in the front row in 2nd grade, Mrs, Shrader's class. He was always a nice person, very quiet and reserved, but also a good friend.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians. For we tell you this by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not go ahead of those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the deceased in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be suddenly caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

We will meet again, my friend, we miss you terribly.

Dear Dodi and Family,
My thoughts and most deepest sympathy go out to you, your dear children and your extended family! How shocking to hear this most devistating news. I am so very sorry to hear the loss of your loving husband, such a great man he was and a wonderful father to his son & daughter. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and your children and praying that God will Bless you unconditionally through this difficult time. Rest in Peace David, you will be missed terribly. Take Care and please let us know if there is anything we can do. Love, Heather (Hope's Sister)
