Reflections for Police Officer Todd Allen Bahr

Although we never went on calls together, I'm proud to wear the same uniform as Todd. I knew him better as a person than as an officer but I won't forget him.

Officer Bahr,

Thank you for your selfless service to the Commonwealth. You truly are a hero to us all.

I was fortunate enough to do a ride along with Fredericksburg PD in October, 2006 when I was an Animal Control Officer before I went on to achieve my lifelong dream of becoming a Police Officer.

Sadly, I can't remember if I was fortunate enough to meet you then or not. I do know why you picked that department to work for though, because the people there are great. From what I've read and heard, you sir were no exception to that greatness.

You served and represented your department, community, the Commonwealth, and all law enforcement officers worldwide very well.

On behalf of myself, my family, and my department, I extend my deepest most sincere condolonces to your family and the men and women of the Fredericksburg Police Department during this very difficult time.

May you rest in peace my brother in blue.
