The evil ones in our society know no boundries when it comes to a brother or sister wearing the badge. You have served your department and the children of God in New Orleans extraordinarily well. Know you and your name will not be forgotten by your brothers and sisters left behind. You are now truly with all our heroic brothers and sisters who have gone before you and will be serving God first hand for all eternity. Thank you sister for being you, for your love of your family and for law enforcement. Rest in peace.
In Christ, Tom Bradley, Arizona State Chaplain FOP

God only knows why this happened to Nicola, but we must continue to trust God's infinate wisdom. In my 20 plus years with the Atlanta Police Department, I have lost both friends and acquaintances in the line of duty. I can honestly say few have bothered me more than hearing about Officer Cotton, I suppose because it was such a senseless act commetted by someone who could have just ran away, instead he chose to take a life. God Bless her soul-R.I.P

Working in a city trying to rebuild itself, offering of yourself what so many people would never be willing to give, you paid the ultimate sacrifice and have rightly deserved your place in heaven.

It is sad to hear of another officer being lost to the streets. It's time we wake up and realize the cost that's being paid by those in uniform.

To Officer Cotton's family and her department, we will keep you in our prayers. Know that you are not alone and that a nation grieves with you.

First and foremost, my thanks to Officer Cotton, for her service and her sacrifice.

My sympathies and prayers to her loved ones in both her personal family, and that of her brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement. May GOD be with you all.

And once again, to the point of all too familiar nausia, we see the never ending pattern of a violent career felon being released FAR TOO SOON, and yet again another fine officer murdered by someone who should at least STILL be behind bars. (If not locked in a casket)! Although it is at an outrageous cost, perhaps now, the "elite" will finally feel that this animal has finally crossed a line, and they will deal with him effectively. (ROPE THERAPY).
But if history is any indication, this may well be far too much to hope for. Such goes "The never ending game"!
