Tom, in valor there is hope. You died serving our country, and we celebrate your life as well as your uncompromising service. I enjoyed working with you just down the hall, and I will miss our morning runs together. Sleep easy, brother. Your fight is over.

Carol, Eric and Ian, your husband and daddy was a great man, and may the Lord wrap you in His arms and give you peace - like only He can.

Blessings,
Dave

"DON'T GRIEVE FOR ME"
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path god laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turn my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Task left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Than fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
What can we say or do to help the loved ones and all who knew Agent Crowell, except he did a job he loved and knew someday he would be leaving his family for good, but yet he did it with pride and strength.
Hopefully these simple words will help some of you get through the tough times ahead.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Tom,

Just being around you made me feel like I should strive to be a better person. You were truly an example of how a person should conduct him/herself. I can't imagine you were anything less than a great husband and father, based on how you conducted yourself professionally. My heart breaks for your family. Thank you for your service. God Bless.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Special Agent Crowell and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Special Agent Crowell has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family, friends, and colleagues of Special Agent Crowell, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Special Agent Crowell is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

For those who pledge to uphold it, Freedom requires a sacrifice the protected will never know.
