Reflections for Corrections Officer Susan Louise Canfield

My husband and I both graduated from Sam and he is now a fellow Houston Police Officer, so this tragedy hits very close to home. I am deeply saddened by this loss, and I know the entire town of Huntsville is devastated. My heart goes out to your loved ones, and I hope and pray that your husband knows that he has the love and support of his fellow officers and their families behind him in this darkest hour. May God bless you for your sacrifice.

Being in Corrections for over 35 years, it breaks my heart when I hear of one of my brothers/sisters in Corrections loosing their lives in such a senseless way.
The only bright thing I see, is that God needed a special flower to be placed in his garden for another life to begin and project Susan's outlook on life.
To the family and friends left behind, remember the good things that Susan brought to your life, she would rather you remember her with a smile, not tears.
