We lost a brother yesterday, but heaven and Micheal the Archangel gained an angel to protect the rest of us who are still battling the evils of this world. Help us continue this fight. Watch upon your brothers and sister behind the thin blue line.

God bless every brother and sister who wears the badge proudly. For that is our symbol, our shield.

For those of us still fighting the never ending war on earth, keep strong we will all pull through.

God Bless

Officer Somohano, It has been a horrible year for law enforcement officers. I wish it did not have to happen but we will be proud to ride in your honor in the Police Unity Tour. Our thoughts are with your family and the MDPD. I worked in Miami for 15 years with some of your finest brothers and sisters. RIP, Ellen

Officer Somohano-Thank you for your years of service to our great profession. Your brothers in law enforcement "took care" of your killer today. Your actions make me proud to wear a uniform everyday. You, as well as other fallen officers, are my heros. Having been shot over 15 years ago on duty, I know how quickly things can go bad for all of us. I respect you, your actions and the difference your life made to everyone around you. Rest in peace my brother.

I have known Jose throughout his time here in Cutler Ridge. He was soft spoken and always smililng. He will surely be missed in the flesh but I know he is always near. To you, his family, hold your heads up and be proud. We all were blessed in some way to hve him be a part of our lives. He was on lone for a short time here on earth, and now he's in Heaven, a much better place.

A fallen hero leaves a footprint in time that can not be removed. Heart are heavy, tears are many as those that are left here go over and over in their mind the events that took our hero away. Our comfort is from God, who promises to never leave us. Office Somohano served, he did not take from us, he served us. Thank you for a job well done and Thank you to his family who supported his decision to be a police officer. My prayers are for you during this most difficult passage.

Jose will truly be missed. He was a stellar officer that continously displayed heroism. Jose was one of the most active and safety consciuos officers within the Crime Prevention Unit. He turned down other less active jobs to be part of this Unit. Truly, one of my best subordinates and friend. He leaves behind a beautiful family that will truly miss him. Please pray for his co-workers as they struggle through this ordeal. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
