Never can a person say or take action that will lessen the burden of loss from a fallen brother. Agent Bush, like all of us, chose to serve his country and community in Law Enforcement. Our agency recently experienced a great loss too. Every fallen officer should always be commended with the highest regard. To the family and friends of Agent Bush, I offer my prayers for your family at this time.

We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one, but God is always prepared to help us through that loss. May His presence begin the healing in your heart and soul, and may His love surround you with the comfort only He can give.

Thank you for your unselfish service to others. You will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace.

A POLICEMAN'S PRAYER
BROTHER WHEN YOU WEEP FOR ME REMEMBER THAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
LAY ME DOWN AND WHEN YOU LEAVE REMEMBER I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE...IN EVERY DARK AND DREARY ALLEY I'LL BE THERE AS YOU SLOWLY TREAD, ON EVERY STREET CORNER IN THE DRIVING SNOW I'LL HOLD YOUR COAT AND YOU WILL KNOW.
IN PLACES WHERE THE DEVIL IS AFRAID TO WALK...
AT DOORS WHERE YOU MEET RESISTANCE...
IN HOUSES WHERE CHILDREN HIDE...
YOU KNOW I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE.
THE PLACE FROM WHICH I NOW RESPOND IS OVERSTAFFED WITH HEROES GONE...MEN WHO ANSWERED ONE LAST JOB AND DID IT WELL.
AS POLICEMEN WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A CARD DEALT IN OUR HAND...A CARD WE HOPE WE NEVER PLAY BUT WE HOLD IT THERE ANYWAY.
THE CARD IS SOMETHING WE IGNORE AS WE STAND ON THAT THIN BLUE LINE EVERY TOUR...FOR WE KNOW THAT WE ARE THE ONLY PRAYER FOR MANY OUT THERE.
SO REMEMBER, AS YOU WIPE YOUR TEARS, THE JOY I HAVE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE YEARS...AS THE JOB I LOVED TO DO I PRAY THAT THIS THOUGHT WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.

I watched the events of your incident unfold on a national news channel. I am very sorry to learn that you were taken by friendly fire. May God bless your loved ones, both your immediate family and your police family. I pray that the bureau will take the other officer under their protective wings and guide him through, what must be, the saddest, most difficult time in his life.

Rest Peacefully Sir...You will never be forgotten!

"A Part of America Died"

Somebody killed a policeman today
and apart of America died,
A piece of our country he swore to protect
will be buried with him at his side,
the suspect that shot him will stand up in court
with counsel demanding his rights,
while a young widowed mother must work
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
