Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Kenneth Chua Jordan

I was looking at some old pictures last night. I had one of those "I still can't believe it" moments. We take so much for granted throughout life. I lost my mom then you eleven months later so that taught me a huge lesson. But I still need to be reminded every now and then. Enjoy what I have, treasure every moment, and most importantly, don't dwell on when you were taken away, remember the life you lived instead. I still miss you, that will never change.

God bless you, your family, and CSPD. I pray for comfort and healing for your family and loved ones, and that justice is served. You stood your watch with the knowledge that your presence made a difference. I am sincerely grateful. Peace be with you all.

This wknd, it was in the single digits here in Chicago...So I ran out...got some Tombstone Frozen Pizzas, 7-Up and Candy Bars...went back to the house...and watched like 9 movies. Just like when we were kids. Was really missing your Mom's cooking;) Not a day goes by where I don't think about you man. Still can't believe it.

This young man saved my life and opened up doors for me that I had closed. May he always be remembered for being a straight, honest, policeman.

Oh my goodness!
Do you remember the song you used to queue up and play whenever I got into the grocery getter? I'd mention the song but I don't want to embarrass you or myself:) Well, today it was playing on the radio and I had not heard it in FOREVER! It made me think of you and all the fun times we had together. I miss you terribly and wish you were here.
Love you lots!

Happy New Year!! I don't get the standard kiss in the EMS room after midnight like I did when we were workin. You hittin the streets and me takin care of the drunks you brought in. But I know you are takin care of things just the same, and I know this year will be much better than last. For that I have to thank you.

I will always love you.

Merry Christmas!
I am missing you and wishing you were here. It is a beautiful white Christmas this year. I wish you were here to see it and enjoy it.
This year went by so fast. Your family was out here at the beginning of December and I can't tell you how much I enjoy their company. Despite the reasons they were here, it was great to just be around them. The anniversary of you be taken away from us was very hard and sad for me and for many others who loved you. I will say that everyone misses you and does so in their own way. The plaque that was dedicated to you on the bridge turned out wonderfully and I was pleased to see that so many people that cared about you came out to see the dedication. I think you would have been pleased. I won't lie, I cried like a baby, but getting up there in front of everyone and sharing some thoughts, made me feel better and a little more at peace.
I miss you every day!
Love always
