I had just seen Mary a couple days ago at the funeral of a friend and brother officer. We spoke briefly and I wished her well on her new career. In parting I had asked her as I had done many times before "who loves you baby?" I remember her turning back as she walked away and replied, " you do." I know we all loved Mary. She was a very caring person always teaching her rookies how to do things right the first time. Mary will be missed very much... but never forgotten by the people she has touched in her life.

To the family, friends and co-workers my prayers are with you. There's not much anyone can say at this time that will help with the terrible nightmare you're going through. The one thing that help and continues to help me deal with such a loss is knowing that Clint loved being a police officer and would not have traded places with anyone. You will miss Mary everyday, but we will never forget her or the sacrifice that all of you have made.
Officer Smith look Clint up for me tell him his mother misses him everyday.
