Hey Boss,

Just wanted to say everything is going fine. It has now been one year since the night all this happened. This moment last year, I was clearing house looking for the Houston's. It still doesnt go by any easier even a year later still knowing you are not here. All is well, I took Trevor shooting today to help him with qualifying this week. Just look over him, and help him right now, he needs it. He is as hard headed as you are.

Well, It's been a year. :( Seems longer. We miss you terribly. I was wishing i could talk to you the other day. Jeremy and I are having some problems. Give us strength to get through it.
Your grandkids are doing good. William has shots to get on Wednesday and goes to the eye doctor on Thursday. Aiden is just a brat but he's 2 so I guess he has an excuse. lol
We miss and love you.

Thank you, Dep. John Carroll for honoring Bill Jones in the Police Unity Tour, I’m sorry you didn’t get a chance to meet the man you honor. He continues to touch lives today and will forever live in our memory and our hearts.

Hey Bill,
When i got up this morning to get ready to come to work, it hit me like a brick wall what today is. I can't believe you've been gone a year. I just want you to know how much you are loved and missed every single day, no matter how much time goes past, it doesn't change.

Love,
Shannon

Deputy Jones, though mortality wounded, was able to wound one of his killers. You are a true hero. Please continue to watch over your fellow LEO brothers and sisters and keep them safe from harm. Rest easy....

Well bubba it has been a year today since you left us. We miss you more amd more everyday. It is 4:00 in am and I can't sleep. I just want to tell you so many things I tell Eden that I wish I could in person but now I have to in my prayers. You would have been so happy for us. You knew how much we wanted this baby and to me it is a gift from God and you and Dad. He wanted to make sure that you were there to help watch over me, like you always have. Bubba you are my hero and no one will miss you as much as me. Keep watch over us ok like that day in the car.

Sgt.Jones,

Almost a year ago I received the phone call that confirmed what I already knew. I begged Angela to tell me it wasn't true. As we talked on the phone & cried, we both kept saying, "How can this happen to Bill." We both agreed there would never be another Sgt Jones! We talked about what a great person you are, how funny you are & how caring you really are! We had so much fun working with you! As we would say, "telling you where to go!"

Sgt. this morning I received a phone call that I never thought I would get. This time it wasn't Angela on the other end of the phone, but the conversation was about her. Angela was killed around midnight last night in a car wreck. In less than one year we have lost two great friends.
I can vision the two of you now sitting around talking about old times. You are both in my thoughts & so are your families. I think about your family everyday Sgt. The place in our hearts you left will never be filled. Now we have another place in our hearts that will never be filled. We miss you and Angela so much! We love you both!

Deputy Jones,
My name is John Carroll and this May 10th-12th I have the honor and privledge of riding a bicycle for you in the Police Unity Tour from Portsmouth V.A. to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in D.C.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this event. I know I never had the opportunity to meet you but reading your reflections I can tell you were a well loved and respected man and in this brother/sisterhood of law enforment it doesn't take meeting or knowing someone to feel the pain of loss.
I thank God for this honor of representing a true hero, and I know this friday night when I begin my tour of duty you and the other fallen brothers and sisters will have my back....Rest In Peace Brother.

Hey! Your son left for deployment again. He won't be back till October. Keep an eye on him for me. I know you will.
William is doing good. He weighs over 9 pounds now. Aiden has developed a huge attitude and back talks a lot. Jeremy calls it "back sassing". LOL He sounds so funny when he says that!
I'm good, lonely, but doing okay. The house is really empty, and really quiet, since Jeremy left. It stays a little cleaner too! lol
I just wanted to check in and let you know what is going on. We love/miss you!

Well you're a PawPaw again. William was born on March 12 at 4:35pm. He weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Not as big as Aiden. Wish you could have been there.
So far so good. Aiden is sick. William sleeps all the time unless i am trying to sleep! Jeremy leaves April 10 for 6 months again. I am so tired of the Navy!! He's never home. I guess i will just have to deal with it, what else can I do?
Just thought that i would check in and say hey. We love you.

Hi Bill,
My family and I speak about you every day and I guess that your ears 'are ringing'constantly. You are missed so very much. I know that you do not have the slighest inclination how your leaving so early without as much as a goodbye has devastated lives and worn out many hearts. I know if you could read this you would have a snicker because you were always so 'vain', but on a serious note you have left a void that will last for a very long time. Love you my dearest friend.

Jonesie
Just wanted to let you know that you would be tickled with three of my four boys now - One is a Chef in Florida, another went to Florida and is going to school to be a chef and is into real estate now. The oldest is in West Tennessee and making furniture. The youngest is still struggling and his older brothers are going to fly him to Florida this weekend and work on that - thank goodness! Your talks with them are still a topic of conversation whenever they call or visit. I can never thank you enough for the time you spent with them and with trying to straighten them out - you were a great Police Officer and we miss you dearly still.
