Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective John Michael Piskator

Words can not say enough but, we mourn another hero that has been taken from us. My deepest sympathy to the family, friends and co-workers. May the Lord give you strength and bless each of you during this time. Remember these few verses taken from the KJB. In I Samuel 20:3 it says, And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly [as] the LORD liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, [there is] but a step between me and death. And in Philippians 1:21 it says, For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.

My most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fellow officers of Detective Piskator. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To his family, I share your agony. I lost my husband in the line of duty 10 months ago, and am left to raise two children on my own. This is a very painful journey that none of us wanted to take. I pray for all of you, especially Detective Piskator's young son, that you will have the strength and courage to get through this.

Thank you, Detective Piskator, for your service and ultimate sacrifice. May God bless you and may you rest in peace, Blue Angel.

Detective, you gave ALL you could. Your service to our great nation would have been enough to secure a special place in Heaven. But, you went that extra mile and became a cop in civilian life and in that profession, one we are all so proud to be a part of, you made the ultimate sacrifice. You shall never be forgotten and we all know that you will always be there for your son as he makes his way through life.

God Bless and Rest in Peace, Brother.
