Officer Golden,

Thank you for your service to my hometown. I've lived in many other places but wherever I go I always speak the fondest of Huntsville where the skies are so blue. Thank you for the time that you served Huntsville's proud Police Department. You served with Honor ultimately paying the greatest sacrifice when you laid down your life for your friends the Huntsville community. I am comforted to know of your faith in our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST from those that knew you best. May prayer is that those of us who still "only see in part" will step it up a notch in your memory. My prayer for your family is that they will continue to be comforted in knowing that you were the best and that they will see you soon. "Life is a vapor to eternity." Holy Bible Scripture

I have not lived in Fayetteville for over nine years, but my mother keeps me up to date on the news. I was saddened to hear the news that Daniel was killed in the line of duty. I attended school with Daniel, and he was always such a sweet and friendly person. He was always smiling and willing to lend a helping hand. I will always remeber him for that. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Words cant describe the degree of this tragedy, much the loss of someone as kind hearted as "Goldie" as well as a fellow brother in arms. I know we were'nt as close as some friends are, however that didnt really matter with you, like myself , you never met a stranger and you were always willing to lend a helping hand. I feel blessed to have known you and honored to call you my friend. Your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Lo, do I see my brother....
Lo, do I see my sister, father and mother.
Lo, do I see the line of my people back to the beginning, they call to me and beg me to take my place among them. In the Halls of Valhalla, where the BRAVE MAY LIVE FOREVER!

Nordic battle prayer.
