Reflections for Patrolman Scott Morgan Armstrong

Scott, I miss you so much, buddy. You have always been a true friend. The other day was your birthday and I am sure we were all thinking of you. You have touched us in so many ways, from your smile to my wedding toast. We will never forget you and the impact you have made in our lives.
Your buddy,
Scott

Scott,
Happy birthday! You share a birthday with Nick's sister. Kelly and April have become very close friends. Both girls have lost their brothers whom they loved so much. I am sure you and Nick are happy the girls have each other. I pray for your parents. My heart breaks for your family, your friends and every person that your death has affected. I wish that no other family ever has to go through this. It is alarming to think that a police officer dies every two to three days in the U.S. in the line of duty. Continue to watch over your family and give Nick a hug from his family. We promise to help your family any way that we can.

Scott you will be truly missed. You are a great inspiration to all that you come into contact with. You are a leader for our Explorer Post, not only inside the Police Department, but outside as well. We will truly miss you leading us as Explorers in our community. Thank you for all of the knowledge, and effort that you have put in to the Explorer program. You, Scott, touched every Explorer's life in a personal and individual way and we will thank you for that always.

Even though I retired about a year ago after nearly 30 years in law enforcement, it is still a mystery why so many fine young officers are taken from us.
Officer Armstrong's sacrifice will never be taken for granted.
As the hymn goes...we'll understand it, farther along.
May God continue to pour out His blessings on the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Armstrong.

Scott,

It just seems like yesterday we had finally gotten back together. You me and Jeremy, the divorcy club. I still remember the times you called me while you were in the Navy, and when you told me you were coming home. I am sorry I never got a chance to go with you to the lake and look at the honeys. We did have some good times up here though. I miss the times we had when were kids playing wiffle ball in my back yard stadium we had made, or the half pipe you kept trying to get me to drop in on, or the time mom caught us burning your girlfriends picture. haha Scott I always miss you. You were my true best friend and brother. I love you brother. I will see you soon. Stay strong. Shakes

4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; 5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends

Patrolman Armstrong, thank you for your service and dedication. You will be missed and never forgotten. May your family, girlfriend, and everyone who loves you stay strong in the memories and love you shared with them.

I lost my fiancée, Scott Stewart, in August of 2002. There not a day that goes by without him in my heart and mind. I understand the pain your fiancee must feel from being ripped from you to soon. The support and love from others who know my pain have helped tremendously.

Chrissy, if you ever feel the need to reach out to others who know your pain, please contact me and other s/o’s. A search on yah groups will bring you to us. Just enter the below as it is.

Always remember as long as your heart beats Scott will be with you. He’s there everyday in your heart.

Hugs,
Monica

Having recently lost a brother from my own department, I know what hell Patrolman Armstrong's fellow officers and family are going through. I did not know Patrolman Armstrong, but he was a brother nonetheless. Know that your loss is our loss and know that your brothers and sisters in California are praying for all of you. To Patrolman Armstrong, I know you are in heaven now with fellow officers from around the country. Watch over us and help guide us. We will take care of things here until our watch ends. God Bless your family and fellow officers.

OFFICER SCOTT ARMSTRONG

Farewell to our Friend

We mourn the loss of our brother in blue,
This pain is shared with all that he knew.
His family and friends feel this loss is so wrong,
We mourn DSN 214, Officer Armstrong.

He dedicated his life to his own home town,
And worked to protect it ‘til he was taken down.
His smile was contagious - he flashed it with ease,
His death brought so many down to their knees.

We'll miss his humor and the way that he spoke,
We'll miss the way he would smirk at a joke.
We'll miss Scott at roll call and after his shift,
We'll keep him in our hearts - he was God's precious gift.

Farewell dear Co-worker, Brother and Friend,
May you rest in peace and our hearts soon mend.

As I read about all of the officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty my heart breaks all over again.
Your child, husband, father or mother, friend steps into their patrol car (in which they are so proud to be in) to go out that day or night willingly to do their job. They are happy, talking to the dispatcher, fellow officers in the station - then go on a call - or go out on patrol not knowing what is around the corner, down the street, in a building - but they respond gladly.
I am so sorry for all of you at the loss of Patrolman Armstrong - this is a devastating time for you - let the comfort of a hug or listening ear help hold you up as people are there for you. God be with you and may He give you strength through each day and night.
Love - a mom of a slain officer in 1998

I want you to know that I just wrote my first DUI, and I go to my first summary suspension hearing for it this week. Brother, this DUI is dedicated to you. Forever I will remember you, linked to my first DUI. Along with the oath I took when I joined this extended family I now have, I will ALWAYS do my job to the fullest extent of the law, keeping you and every other innocent person killed for a senseless reason in mind. I didn't know you, I will never get the pleasure of meeting you, but this one's for you. Rest in peace and watch over us, your brothers and sisters, as we aim to do this job.
