Mike, Thinking of you today with fond and loving memories. Remembering how you would eat the legs of the turkey and Gram Gordon the wings - no one else cared for them.

Love and miss you forever.

Happy Thanksgiving Mike. Waiting for everyone to show for dinner. Holidays just aren't the same without you here with us. I know you would be in the bedroom with the kids playing play station or x box. Your son turned out to be a gamer like you. Wonder where he got if from? Please watch over everyone for me. We love and miss you.

Love
Dad

Mike, A few days ago one of the painted horse statues was dedicated to you. The paintings on the horse so depicted your life that when your Dad was giving his interview and watched the unveiling, he said he held back his tears. The horse was painted by a CPD officer and we thank him for his talent.

The painted horses are now donning Chicago in various areas of the city and are dedicated to fallen police officers and those catastrophically injured. Never Forgotten.

Love, Mom

Michael,
We lost you 10 years ago and have never forgotten you. Last night at the CPD Memorial we had a gathering of all your family and close friends to pay tribute to you. Was comforting to see the guys you worked with in the 11th District, they haven't forgotten you. Please keep watch over the family for me and know we will never let your memory die. Love and miss you.

Love,
Dad

Mike, It's been 10 years since that awful phone call we received telling us you were gone. It still seems surreal to your Dad and I.

You were honored at the CP Memorial today with about 100 people in attendance. Your brother John spoke about your Foundation and about the Michael Gordon Law that was passed and how much you are missed.

Your partner Mario and a lot of the officers who were and some who still are in 11 were there. Michael stories were talked about and what a dedicated police officer you were. The bag pipers played your favorite as usual "Amazing Grace".

I don't think your Dad and I have fully accepted the loss of you - then I think what parent could.

Look after your children and the rest of the family.

Miss and love you.

Mike, Tomorrow is the Ride to Remember where hundreds of motorcycles, many of them police officers, will drive in a motorcade to honor the Fallen and end the ride at the CP Memorial.

Please watch over all the riders, including your brother Bob & Kristy, and let them be safe during and after the ride.

Also, watch over your son Cullen who left on a ferry ride today to get to Isle Royale in Michigan. Let him have a safe and healthy camping trip the next 2 weeks. He has definitely followed in your footsteps regarding camping and the outdoors. This is his 3rd year at Camp Manito Wish, WI in which he has advanced to higher levels of camping.

Love and miss you always.

I am sorry I have been behind in writing to you, but know that you and your parents have been in my thoughts and prayers. As we went to D.C. and the candlelight I held my candle high in the sky for you, my daughter and all the heroes who have given their all. We will never forget and you dad is such a great person who always knows when to send me something by email, just when I need it. Continue to rest in peace Officer Gordon, we will never forget.

Mike, Yesterday we celebrated the 10th Cubs Rooftop in your honor. It was a beautiful day, the Cubs won and the Pipers played your favorite "Amazing Grace".

It's always a sad day and a happy one - sad because your not here and happy that you are remembered.

Love you always.

Mike, The 10th CPD Memorial Run took place this past Saturday. Your brother John has organized the run the last 2 years with over 5,000 runners. Your brother Bob brought 50 people from Berwyn PD and Morton West. Your sons did well - Malik coming in #398 and Cullen at 407 - not bad considering the over 5000 runners.

You will never be forgotten and neither will the other fallen officers. Love you always.

Hi Michael,
I'm sorry it's been so long since I've visited your site but you, your mom, dad and family are always on our mind. I know you're taking good care of them. On the 4th of April we'll gather at the Sheriffs dept. to honor Jeff on the 10th anniversary of his death. As usual there will be stories, tears, laughter and above all there will be love. When Jeff lost his life the dept. formed a circle of love around us and have been by our side to offer comfort and support every step of the way. I know you and Jeff are working hard to keep your brothers and sisters here on earth safe from harm as they try to carry on without you. God Bless you and be sure to tell Jeff I called to say hi.
A blue light always burns in our window for Jeff and for you in loving memory. You will never be forgotten.

Mike,
Just thinking about you. I ran into a couple of guys from the watch the other day. Its nice to see the boys from 011. Every now and then I see your brother John. I saw him at HQ earlier this week. The man is constantly working. I wish that I had his dedication and energy. The world would be a better place if more of us were like the Gordon boys. God bless John, Bobby and the rest of your family for all that they do.

Officer Gordon- over the years your father has shown our family, namely my mother, great compassion in always remembering and leaving a reflection on my brothers page. I know your father does this because of his enormous pride and love for you. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and for your dad, Mr. Bob Gordon, who has given much comfort thru the years.
