Detective Oreo Lorenzo was a dedicated husband, father and police officer. His leadership, wit and ability to place others before himself will be greatly missed by his family and fellow officers. Oreo was a former officer of the year for the North Miami Beach Police Department and also served a term as the President of IUPA local 6005. Oreo is the first Officer in the history of NMBPD to be lost in the line of duty. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of the brothers and sisters in blue that he left behind. Oreo may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my brother.
