Your heroism and service is honored today, the 6th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

My sons and I lived for two years in West Palm Beach. You policed a beautiful city and gave distinquished service to its citizens.

We've never met, but I was fortunate enough to meet your family at an unfortunate time this week. It's so unatural for a parent to grieve for a child. Now your family is grieving the loss of a wife and mother. I hope they take comfort in knowing that she and you are together again. You take care of your mom, and the large family you left too soon, will all take care of one another.

Dear Thomas,

As Easter is coming we are all thinking of you. On Good Friday all your nieces and newphews are going to be around the dining room table coloring eggs. It is hard to beleive that you are not around anymore and then on Easter Sunday we will all be here to have our Easter dinner. You will be missed by all of us. Hey Thomas....Hows heaven today. I put my christmas tree up today and i put all the special ornaments on it that remind me of you. Its sad to know your not here at this special time of year. I like to think in my heart that you are here watching us decorate the tree and getting ready for christmas, helping us to think of something special to give someone. It must be pretty cool to watch over everybody and see how every family that you were part of celebrates and remembers you in their individual ways. Because we leave a note once in awhile doesn't mean that is the only time we are thinking of you. I think of you often, remembering what a great person you were. I tell alot of the new guys about you. And to this date I still cant think of a time you ever screamed or even raised your voice at someone.
