As I prepare for my annual trip to Sacramento for the Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony, my thoughts naturally are on those names I know I’ll see on the monument:

Tony, I am thinking of your gallant actions all those years ago. How you stood up to evil that day! Your attention to duty never wavered. For such a young officer, you really impressed me.

I still remember that first day you were in my briefing “Z”. I will never forget you.

It's hard to believe it has been six years since we last saw you. Every June 13th is one year further away from the time we shared on earth, but one year closer to eternity with you in heaven. Thank you for loving God and knowing Jesus, so that we have the comfort in knowing we will be together again. Not a day goes by that you are not thought of and loved. That will never change.
