I did not have honor of knowing my grand uncle. Just remember my visits with my great aunt at her home in Fort Worth in the late 1920 era. Our family was proud to have him protect & serve.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 95th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be remembered and revered.

I REMEMBER MY AUNT (ED'S WIFE) STILL FEELING HIS LOSS IN THE 1930'S WHEN MY GRANDFATHER (ED'S BROTHER), GRANDMOTHER AND I VISITED HER IN SO. FORT WORTH WHEN SHE LIVED NEAR HEMPHILL AND MAGNOLIA. WE RODE THE ELECTRIC TROLLEY FROM THE TRAIN STATION TO A POINT VERY NEAR HER HOUSE. ED WAS WELL RESPECTED BY HIS NEIGHBORS AND FELLOW COMMISSIONERS...
