Reflections for Police Officer Domenick J. Infantes, Jr.

I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Dominick before he became a police officer. Always with a smile and a laugh for everyone. Always doing things without ever looking for a thank you. My son in law Tom Swift knew Dominick growing up together and they had many happy times they share together. Its sometimes very hard to express ones feeling when something likes this happens.

This memorial is a sure tribute to all Officers who were killed in the line of duty or even off duty. Officer Infantes was a life long friend of my family. To see his smile on this page is really what he was all about. Family, friends and life. He would give you the shirt off his back. He is greatly missed by all, but his legacy will live on and pages like this send the message where it should be. Thank you Officers for honoring the men in blue who should still be here!!!!!

Sharon Romano
Friend of Officer Infantes

To Mrs. Infantes,

Trust in the Lord always, He will be your sustainer and your companion in these difficult days and for the rest of your life.
Don't spend your energies aksing "Why?" Instead, remember all the good times and these will give you peace and hope for the future.

Esther

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY OF DOMINICK INFANTES, I AM A WIFE OF A JERSEY CITY POLICE OFFICER AND I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HER PAIN. OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN BLUE WHO ARE PATROLING THE STREETS TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITIES SAFE ARE THE GUARDIAN ANGELS OF THE STREETS, AND THEN THIS UNSPEAKABLE ACT OF VIOLANCE HAPPENS. AND THE PAIN IS SO STRONG AND SO DEEP, I BREATHE A SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN MY HUSBAND WALKS IN THE DOOR AFTER HIS SHIFT, I THANK GOD.

MY DEEPEST AND HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY

A JC POLICE OFFICER'S WIFE...

No one can answer all of the questions you have and no one can take the pain away. May your heart be filled with the love Dominick has for you. May your mind be filled with the memories you were so lucky to have with Dominick. And may every breath you take remind you of the hope and happiness Dominick have left in each one of you.

Love and Prayers

I met Dom on one occasion when we were sworn in as members of the North Hudson Moose Lodge, We had a mutual friend. Dom struck me as a pleasant and witty person. The tradgedy of his senseless depraved murder should not be forgotten. All brother officers and concerned human beings should see to it that justice is carried out.
I find it disgracefull that The gavina wives should seek sympathy from the Philipino community. Remember brother officers and concerned citizens of humanity your voice to can be heard on Radio Pinoy or any other secular outlet or website, We live in a worldwide community thanks to the internet. Keep the peace and stay safe, and God Bless the soul of Dom Infantes.

The death of Ptlm. Dominick Infantes is as courageous as that of any other law enforcement officer who has made the ultimate sacrifice. But, what tears me apart inside is that once again, one of our brotherhood has attended their final roll call as a result of just trying to be a decent guy! Unfortunately for us all, we must continue to bury our brother and sister officers amid all the cries of brutality levied upon us by people who judge all cops by the acts of a limited and unwanted few. Dominick, rest in peace. To Dominick's family and friends: Don't allow the cowardly and selfish act of murder committed by those idiots to cloud your memories of your husband, son, brother, and friend.

Dom...

As I sit here alone and pray that you show up and talk to me, unfortunately I know that you will not. I miss you so much bro, sometimes I do not know how I will go on without you. There is nothing in the world that will ever make up for your loss. You were more than a brother to me. There is no way to describe how close you and I really are.

I know that wherever I am, you will be with me. I would give anything back to have you here in person though. At this time I do not understand life and why you had to go so soon, in this manner.

I want to be so terribly angry, but my heart is filled with grief and overflowing with tears. Please give me the strength to get our family through this. Not a minute goes bye when I am not thinking of you.

I grew up with the best role model any kid could have. I hope that one day I can make you half as proud of me as I am of you everyday.

You are an amazing man Dom, I am proud to be your brother and proud to have you as my best friend. Please rest in peace and know that I will do my best to keep your name alive forever. Thank you for being there for me every day of my life. Thank you for making me the man that I am today.

I love you so much bro.

Erik Infantes

It's the fear of every wife, husband, mother, father, brother, sister, cousin, friend, etc.;getting that call that your loved one has made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Unfortunately Dom, your wife, family, and friends received that call because your time had arrived to make that ultimate sacrifice, a sacrifice that came much too soon. Although your time spent on earth was cut short, you touched more lives than you could imagine. And while you are in a place of eternal rest, you are still touching many lives (many of whom never met you).

My deepest condolences to your wife, Betty, your brother and your parents.

Rest in Peace

"To all the police officers who put your lives on the line everyday (as Dom did)...THANK YOU"

From Renee, proud sister and cousin of 2 "Men in Blue"

Dom was a true asset to the law enforcement family. He was not only a dedicated police officer but a great guy. He was a very close friend of my nephew as well as a friend of my son. I can't imagine the pain and loss that Betty, Dom's parents and brother are feeling. I too, am a proud mother of a police officer and every day I pray to God asking him to protect my son and every night I thank God because my son made it through another day unharmed. We have lost a fine young man but we have gained another guardian angel. God Bless All the Men and Women Who Protect Us. Thank You!

Maureen J. Ferrari

People fail to realize that our "job" encompasses set times in a shift, our call to "duty" is 24/7/365. Most become police officers to help others, no matter if we are on the clock or not! I pray that the Lord keeps Patrolman Infantes family and police family strong while they grieve. God bless.

DOM, YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL, THE TIMES WE HAD AT THE HUDSON COUNTY JAIL WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. REST IN PEACE, AND MY SAINT MICHAEL WATCH OVER YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Dominick could have stayed at the party and out of harms way. When the cry for help was heard, Dominick did the right thing. He knew he didn't have his gun, he also knew he couldn't turn his back to someone needing help! Dominick, God bless you

EVERYONE THAT KNEW DOM, KNEW THAT HE WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST PEOPLE TO KNOW. I HAD THE PLEASURE OF BEING DOM'S PARTNER WHEN WE WORKED IN NARCOTICS. HE WAS FUNNY, CARING, LOVING AND ONE OF THE GENTELEST PEOPLE I KNOW. ALWAYS THERE TO LEND A HAND TO ANYONE. DOM LOVED HIS WIFE BETTY SO MUCH HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HER AND THEIR PLANS TO GET MARRIED. HE WAS TAKEN FROM THIS WORLD IN SUCH A TRAGIC WAY AND IT IS UP TO EVERYONE THAT READS THIS SITE AND KNEW DOM TO MAKE SURE THAT JUSTICE IS DONE TO THESE GUYS THAT DID THIS. DOM, YOU WERE A GREAT PARTNER AND A GREAT PERSON AND YOU WILL BE MISSED DEARLY IN THIS WORLD.
