Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Angelic Suzette Garcia

The other day I had a new recruit ask me how long would it be before he was no longer considered a rookie. The flood of memories came back from the day Angelic had asked me the same question. She and I had a joke that for every year you are on, you lose a letter in the word rookie. Before she left us, she had just gotten passed okie. Thinking back, Angelic was never really a rookie. She taught me more about the kindness in people in three years than any one else could in a life time. When new recruits see Angelics picture they seem to know who she was just by her smile. Angelic is still missed but I know she rides with each and everyone of us everyday. Thank You God for the time that we had her. the impact she has left behind will last the rest of our lives.

I never met Deputy Garcia but I am sure that I know why she went to work everyday. She was chosen to live this life and leave her mark in whatever way most affected others. We at the International Association of Women Police salute you Deputy Garcia. We also send our sympathy to her family, friends and co-workers. You are in our prayers. Godspeed, Angelic.

Not much time has passed, since you became an angel for us, It still seems like your still here with us. and alot of us in the department miss your smile and friendship, just wanted you to know let you know you will never be forgotten.

IN THE SIMPLE PERFORMANCE OF DUTY.............
In the simple performance of duty, she pinned on a badge, checked her gear with a praticed eye, and kissed her loved ones good-bye.

In the simple performance of duty, she reported for work, joked with her peers at roll call, and made her last trip down the sub-station's hall.

In the simple performance of duty, she answered the call, to help the helpless, to find the lost, no matter the danger or how great the cost.

In the simple performance of duty, she layed down her life, for those in peril she tried to save. our brave friend went to her grave.

In the simple performance of duty, We honor her deed, as we lay her to rest in the flag-draped casket, long after the world has forgotten, we shall never forget. Never judge or regret, what she did, in the simple performance of duty.

Your Friend.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for the loss of such a young lady . I am sorry for the pain that you have to suffer everyday. But she is still watching oever her family . She was sent to heaven for a reason . God wants the finest people to patrol his heaven and he choose her because she was such hard working and dedicated police officer . I remember hearing about her accident on the local news, It is sad to see such a young life, just fade away while trying to help others.
May god bless her family, and help them through their loss.

Angelic, you were and will always be loved and missed by your family. Enriquez misses you so much. Its hard to explain to a four year old why his cousin is no longer here.
To leave an empression that you left this child shows how special a person your were and and will always be..Its very hard to explian to a child why he can't go to heaven on vacation to visit you. HEAVEN MUST BE BEAUTIFUL IF ALL THE ANGELS LOOK LIKE YOU...PEACE TO YOU MY PRECIOUS NIECE TIL WE MET IN HEAVEN.

p.s.
I miss the morning talks at the fence,
when you would get off your shift.
thank you for showing so much love and
attention to my grandson. Your were and

love,
Auntie Norma

THAT SMILE.........GOD SPEED DEPUTY GARCIA....GOD SPEED.
