Reflections for K9 Kody

My personal opinion is dogs are better than most people.
Police dogs are very special. They do their work very well and then become a wonderful family dog as well. I'm sure he was very special and did wonderful things in his work and took care of his family. My deepest sympathies to Officer Longbehn. People who don't have pets may not understand how they are part of your family and loving and devoted as well. Peace and blessings to your family.

This breaks my heart. The St Paul Police Department has such a wonderful K9 program, and it saddens me to see that such a hero was lost. My thoughts and prayers go out to the department, and all those Kody honorably served.

K9 Kody. Thank you and your partner for keeping the wolves at bay. You never can tell how much crime you stopped as a deterrent, on top of all the arrests that you can quantify. Thanks to your partner for driving you too and from calls, training, making decisions and giving you a life any warrior would be proud to have lived. I hope the handler recovers quickly from your passing, with fond memories and continues to keep fighting the good fight.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is tough for anyone to loose a pet yet they would give their lives for us. It is that unconditional love that makes them so awesome. I know this is what he was trained for but I am sure loosing him will be felt by all who read this story. May God keep all of you close to him and protected....

It is unfortunate that Cody lost his life, and as much as we grieve but his partner went home, and this isn't to less his importance as a LEO. His partner went home with a piece of his heart missing, you Cody are a hero by the profession, that you were trained to do, you are and were a special part of law enforcement. God Bless you, your partner, your family, other k-9's family and friends.
