Mark,
This was a P.O.S. scum of the earth that should have been put to death for a murder anyway. These types of criminals have no care for your life or anyone elses. What do they have to lose. Probably a hate crime too. Will they get the death penalty now???
Thank you so much for all of your service and sacrifices. Correctional Officers deserve so much more from their employers because you really do have to put up with the scum of the earth, these less than human thugs. You and all other public safety workers should be highly commended and highly paid for dealing with these people. I would also like to Thank your family and friends for their sacrifices as they dealt with your long hours and not knowing who was going to harm you as your worked.

Georgia Department of Natural Resources - Law Enforcement Division

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I too lost my father in the line of duty due to the selfish hateful actions of an inmate. I pray your family finds some comfort in happy memories and can move forward.

Sgt. Baseman, I want to personally thank you Sir for serving as you did. I understand because I got my start in L.E. with D.O.C. and understand first hand the job and what it takes to keep those sentenced, secure from the public and the true danger officers face daily. You are a Hero Sir and I pray for peace for your family and department. Rest In Peace Sarge and God Bless you !
