I had an opportunity to meet Pat only one time, but like almost everyone I have met who wears the Star of the US Marshals, I walked away impressed with his professionalism and commitment to the job of seeking justice for those who are victims of crime.

The loss of someone like Pat hurts all who knew him but none more than his family and loved ones. It is my hope that his family can somehow take solace in the knowledge that Pat left a lasting legacy and touched so many lives throughout his long career. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during their time of grief and sorrow. A great man who will be missed by all who knew him.

My condolences to the family of Deputy Commander Patrick Carothers. Please remember God’s promise at Revelation 21:4 where it says that "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” May you find peace in knowing that anything that anything that causes pain, will be done away with. Once again, I am sorry for your lost.

I had the pleasure of knowing Patrick on the job, through details and trainings, and am so very saddened by the loss. He will be sorely missed by so many across the country whose lives he positively impacted in so many ways. I share in the pain with his family. We all know he loved his wife and kids very much. He definitely leaves a big void locally in GA, the law enforcement community, and in our agency. May he rest in peace.
