Officer John T King Jr. was my Great Grandfather. I never met him, but he was one of my hero's. My Grandfather told me stories about the brave things he did while walking his beat. I always wanted to be just like him. Well I am still working on that one, those are big shoes to fill. Later, as I grew up I found out that my Uncle John Walters, was also a City of Baltimore Police Officer up until 1977. He moved to Florida and continued his career as a Police Officer in Cooper City. He eventually retired from the Cooper City Police Department as a Captain. He also was my Hero!!! We lost him this weekend! 03/24/2012 They both left a lasting impression on me that I will take with me on my journey through life. To all of the men and women in Law Enforcement that put their lives on the line everyday to keep us all safe, Thank you!! You don't hear it enough!! Thank you for all that you do!! Pride, Integrity, and Guts!! That's what my Uncle always told me!
