Tribute

In Memory of Lura Brohard

My Grandmother’s first husband was a Dallas Police Officer who was killed on a Dallas city bus while off duty while sitting beside my grandmother. It was a tragedy that made national news. My grandmother was placed under protective police surveillance afterwards. But God made it good. She went on to marry my grandfather, who was a widow. and She adopted his 4 daughters. One of whom would be my mother. Thank-you for all you do for our community and our nation. God Bless our Police Officers. Signed, The Kelly Family.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 72nd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Officer Morris was my grandmothers brother. I have been fascinated for years and would love to see the Dallas file if there is one. Where is his badge? Is the pocket knife part of the evidence? Did Akins die in prison?
