Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Blakely B. Humphrey

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

I said a little prayer today for Deputy Sheriff Humphrey and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

My biggest sympathy goes out to Dep. Humphrey and to all slain law enforcement officers in the nation. My brother is a officer in the RPD and i think about him and the job he's doing everyday. It takes the biggest heart to put your life at risk for those who you do not know. God bless

To Deputy Sheriff Humphrey,

No Trooper, Deputy or Officer who dies in the line of duty serving his community should ever go without a reflection. I am a native of Attica, Wyoming County and my father was an Officer at Attica Correctional Facility. Following service in the United States Navy, I served with the Montgomery County (Md.) Department Department of Police for 25 years and have since safely retired. I owe you a special debt of gratitude for helping to provide me with a safe community to live in for the first 18 years of my life. Your contribution to the citizens of Wyoming County will never be forgotten. May God watch over you, those who survive in your family and the Troopers, Deputies and Police Officers who continue to serve in Wyoming County today. When my days on this earth come to an end and I am called to my final roll call I will go knowing that the thousands of my brothers and sisters who have worn uniforms in the colors of blue, grey, tan, brown, black or green and given up their lives in service to their community will be there to greet me. Rest In Peace.
