Reflections for Officer Danny Forest Cordes

Brother Cordes,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue

I first met Danny Cortes in approx. 1985 while I was teaching a motor officer refresher training course in Irving. He was such a kind soul and very pleasant to be around. I remember the day the local news reported his passing. I was so disappointed that we had lost such a fine officer. I ask that God continue to pour out His blessings on this family.
It may seem silly to be sitting here, 19 years after he died, writing this message but it's never, never, never too late to remind his friends, co-workers and family what a good guy he was. Praise God for Danny Cortes.

Danny, I didnt know you but I have had the displeasure of meeting the vile piece of trash that killed you. Our Department has dealt with him numerous times. He is suffering by God's hand. He is slowing dying a painful death of liver cancer and is awaiting another prison sentence should his health ever permit. Rest in Peace
