Gary worked for the department my grandfather worked at for 38 years. My grandfather was appointed to Chief his last 6 years. I grew up in the department and got to know Gary. As I got older Gary was a great mentor to me. Gary was a great man that could make anyone laugh and would give you the shirt off his back. Thank you Gary for all the advice over the years and god speed my brother. My thoughts and prayers going out to the Jim and the rest of the Hibbs family and also to the members of the Chicago Heights Police Department.
