suffered emotional losses of many street cops during my years of service with NYCPD...very sorry for the years of suffering of both the officer and her family...punishment NOT nearly proper and NO justice for this crime...officers were obviously shot in an area to avoid any vest protection...
GOD BLESS YOU.
Rest in Heavenly Peace.

On the second day of February the Church recalls the words of aged Simeon when he met the Christchild in the temple; words which apply so well to the departure of this faithful minister of justice:

Lord, now you let your servant go in peace.
Your word has been fulfilled.
My own eyes have seen your salvation
which you have prepared in the presence of every people;
A light to reveal you to the nations
and the glory of your people Israel.
