Reflections for Police Officer Bruce Edwin St. Laurent

Officer St. Laurent I thank you for your service to making our country a safer place for 20 years. I am sorry you did not get to retire as I know how that is with my husband getting only 3 months before he had a heart attack. It takes awhile to accept it was God's plan but a woman who is a LEOW is strong. You are now in the company of many others from the brother's and sister's in blue.

There has been way too many officer's passing away but those who remain will not fail at keeping your memory alive, and their professionalism constant. Stay strong and carry on, that is all they can do. Thank you all for what you do and God bless you and your families. I am sure you know he is still with you in your heart.

Bruce,
I can not believe you are gone. It has been over 20 years since we first met.

I will never forget my brother and I, picking up your son Larry and driving him to school with us. When we would drop him back off at the end of the school day, we would burn out the tires in front of your house. You finally got sick of it and drove over to our house and did the same. You then warned us to never do it to you again. That day was in fact the last time.

It was a couple years later you joined the Jupiter Police Department. My brother and I looked up to you and admired you. You were always so kind and more than happy to take us on ride-a-longs. While so many officers are bothered and annoyed to have a 10-12, you always welcomed us and encouraged us. We would later follow in your footsteps to become police officers. Thank you for being you.

I am deeply saddened by your passing. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to the entire St. Laurent family, as well as the members of the Jupiter Police Department.
