Officer Smith made the ultimate sacrifice, and for that we all should be so grateful. We go to work everyday, knowing the dangers that lurk, but we do it anyway. This hero is surely welcome in heaven. God bless her family, and I hope they know that we all ache inside that another one of our law enforcement family was taken too soon. We mourn with you and we pray for you to find strength in this most difficult time.
