To the family and friends of Sr. Corp. V. Lozada-Tirado,

I hope you get a chance to read all the entries that are made here, and even make a few of your own if you haven't aleady.

I give you my sincerest condolences on this sudden loss. One person lost in such a way is one too many. There are so many in our nation and world who put on the uniform every day, knowing it could be their last.

I am sure you knew the risks involved with Victor's profession. However, it didn't lessen the pain when he was called home by God.

I pray you celebrate Victor's life and carry on his wishes for his children and family. The best thing we can do in honoring Victor is never forgetting him or those like him who are so willing to step in harm's way.

May the Lord Jesus bless you with His grace and peace, knowing that Victor is in a far, far better place today than any of us can imagine.

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man gives up his life for his friends." (John 15:13)

This is truly a sad situation on all accounts. Something as simple as providing a dignitary escort for the senator became a deadly situation. My heart-felt sympathy goes out to Officer Lozada-Tirado's wife, children, and other family members, as well as to Dallas officers and co-workers. I hope the senator and other elected officials around our country will become more aware of the hazzards that all of us wearing badge face day in and day out. Again to all people involved and touched in this incident, my heart goes out to you. Which ever political view one may hold, should not matter during this time. We are humans first, and hate to see one of our brothers or sisters in uniform go down at any time but especially while performing his sworn duty. May Corporal Lozada-Tirado rest in peace and may the family take comfort with memories they have to hold onto and share with one another. Corporal I commend your service to Dallas, to Texas, and to the United States of America as you have given all you had.

Bibb County Sheriff Department (GA)
