To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Brentar, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

I am so terribly sorry...for the loss...of your husband and father.

Each time...I read about a car accident...taking the life of an officer...in addition to bursting into flames...I am sickened.

When are the car manufacturers...going to address the problems...caused by their faulty designing.

Please...accept my heartfelt condolences...in the loss of your loved one.

He will not be forgotten...by those of us...who come to this ODMP daily...to honor the memory...of a hero.

May God's perpetual light...shine upon the soul of Police Officer George Brentar...and may he rest...in His eternal peace...for having made the ultimate sacrifice...in protecting...and serving his community.

I will pray...that God bless his family...as they cope with this tragic...and untimely loss.

With my deepest sympathy.

Thank you for your service to your community. I know sorrowful words do not make this any easier for your loved ones, but I am sorry for your loss. While time will ease the sharp pain of your loss, the loss will forever be engraved on your heart, but it will not hurt as deeply as time goes on. Be proud of your officer and all the good he did.
