IT SADDENS ME TO SEE YET ANOTHER TRAGEDY HAPPEN TO GOOD MEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT. I HOPE YOU CAN TAKE COMFORT IN KNOWING THAT RAFAEL WAS DOING HIS JOB EXACTLY THE WAY HE WAS TAUGHT. FROM READING HIS REFLECTIONS, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT HE WAS A GOOD MAN. I TOO AM FAMILIAR WITH THE INCREDIBLE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING. MY BELOVED HUSBAND, DAVID WAS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY ON 7-7-06. ALTHOUGH ALMOST A YEAR HAS GONE BY, IT SEEMS LIKE IT WAS ONLY YESTERDAY. I HAVE TWIN 4 YEAR OLDS, A BOY AND A GIRL. YOU WILL SOON FIND THAT YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR TRUE STRENGTH, YOUR REASON FOR GETTING UP EVERYDAY. HOLD ON TO THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES OF YOUR BELOVED RAFAEL.
