Marcus,
I was shocked when I woke up this morning to see your name on here. I had heard last night that 2 Moncks Corner Officers had been killed in the line of duty, and I just hoped and prayed it wasnt you. I remember the first time I met you at the academy. Class 481, you were quiet, squared away, and geniuinely nice guy. When my Defensive Tactics / PPCT partner left the academy, you became my partner. We had a good time learing self-defense tactics, gun retention, and ground defense. I burnt mant of knees on that gym carpet, but I learned so much. I thank you for being my partner, and allowing me to learn something that might save my life. I just hope I was able to do the same. Its been a tough year, one of my Shift Partners was killed on Feb 27, and now you are tragically taken from us. It makes no sense, but I will lace up my boots and polish mt star for you tonight, and I will go serve a state who has lost a GREAT HERO. My prayers are with your department and your family. You may rest now, we have the watch.
