Rob,
This does not seem real. My heart goes out to your wife and family; may they find comfort in Christ' words, "He who believes in me shall not perish, but have everlasting life." As we mourn your loss, may we be encouraged in knowing you are happier than ever before and will be cheerfuly awaiting all who shared your faith. As I likely said before parting from our last conversation, "See ya later."

Quote from "Polce Prayer"

Lord, if some dark and dreary night,
I must give up my life.
Lord, with your understanding love,
protect my children and wife.

Your new life is now beginning, brother. Rest in Peace!

A few years ago this wonderful man responded to an emergency call at my parents home. At the time, it appeared my father had had a heart attack. He took such good care of my mother! Officer Targosz was very thoughtful and attentive to my mother, my father, and to their 2 big dogs. Because my mother was too distraught to call to inform me about Dad, Officer Targosz called me at work and gently gave me the details. Thankfully my father recovered, and both parents are doing well. What a blessing Officer Targosz was to me and my parents!!
My father just got the tragic news of Officer Targosz's death. It is impossible to find the words to convey our sorrow and our sympathy to Officer Targosz's family. We are so deeply sorry. Paz de Cristo. Peace of Christ.

To the Family of Officer Targosz and his wonderful co-workers of Gilbert PD: We are mourning the loss of Rob, taken by yet another damned drunk driver!! Another hero taken from us because of a crime that didn't have to happen...all because people don't think!!

To know that Officer Targosz prided himself on getting impaired drivers off the road and that he was killed by one just touches my heart. I ache for all of you and pray that God brings you comfort and eases your grief. I truly believe that this fine officer was welcomed into Heaven and he watches down on all of us...especially you in uniform and that we all will be reunited with our loved ones. This fine officer was too good a man to not be rejoined with his loved ones in Heaven. We will all have a great party when we see our Angels in blue in Heaven.

Officers of Gilbert P.D.: Please remember Rob every day and vow to get a drunk off the road each shift so that his loss is not in vain. And work with your MADD Chapter on the prosecution of this case so that justice is served.

I will pray for you all,

Hugs and love to ease the grief,

Mrs. Targosz

May the peace of the Lord be with you, knowing your loved one is dwelling in the house of the Lord.

My sincere condolences to you. May God provide you with peace and understanding during this difficult time. And know that your GPD family is here for you always.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.

Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
