Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Jared Scott Jensen

I'm sorry that your murderer did't get the verdict that so many felt he deserved. I hope and pray that he receives a sentence that never allows him to feel freedom again. Nothing will take away the pride we feel for you and the life you lived. You are missed so much and thought about daily by your 'CSPD family'.

I know all too well what you are going through. You now have to wait as you place justice in the hands of strangers. Soon the verdict will be in and these terrible weeks will come to an end, unfortunately the pain of loosing your loved one does not. This is all a stepping stone in the process. The step of the justice system will soon be over and it will be up to all of you to begin to live your lives again. Trust me it is hard but you will get through it.

Jury selection has begun and the trail will soon start. It will take every bit of strength you have to get through this. The first day will be the hardest after that you seem to become numb. You sit and listen and still can't believe all of this has happened. You will experience every emotion there is, it is exhausting. There will be nights you will go to bed so mad and the next night you will be so proud of what Jared represents. Realize that this is just a step in the journey. The trail does not answer the question of why our loved one was taken away. Jared's spirit will help you to make it through each day and when it is over he will help you to go on with your lives. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Can't believe it took two years to get to this point. Help give us all strength as the trial is set to start this week. Know that not a minute goes by that I'm not thinking of you. I miss you man.
