Heartbreaking seeing the size of the family and knowing they will be without their hero moving forward. Good to read his daughters input that the family is doing well but brings tears at the same time.

Daddy,
It's been 16 years. 16 years of laughs, tears, good times, bad times, life lessons, hurting and healing. But most important of all, it's been 16 years of loving you from a distance, missing you, trying to make you proud, honoring you in everything we do, and remembering you every day. You'd be so proud of our family and all of the great things we've accomplished, and I know you're looking down on us all from heaven, cheering us on and pushing us to be the best we can be. Thank you for all you did during your time on Earth, and for being our constant reminder that there is always something to strive to. I love you forever and always.

Dave,
Its hard to believe it’s been fifteen years. We weren’t able to get together this year. You wouldn’t believe that the government locked down the whole country over a virus. The worst part is We The People let them. People are starting to wake up though and hopefully we’ll take our Country back and we can come together again. I really miss you brother and wish you were joining me in retirement. You will always be remembered and your family can always depend on me if they ever need anything. Missed but never forgotten.

Dave was my partner about once a month. When we weren't riding together, he'd text me now and then, "Jamba Juice." Then we'd meet for a 40. I always looked forward to that. Dave always had that toothpick and a smile.

He loved everybody and treated all with respect. Even the "bad guys."

Dave, read your name at the Phoenix Police Annual memorial on 042816. I was okay until I got to EOW. Adam was there and his support really helped. Getting everyone together again on the 7th. Both your families are doing great only wish you were here. You would be very proud of your children. I found out Cathrine joined the Navy. A girl after my own heart. Aislinn is holding down the fort at communications. I'm hoping I can get together with her more often. You would really love her children. You would really enjoy Adam's wife, Sarah, she is a gem and their children are great. I'm really hoping Alyssa can make it this year since I haven't seen her since the trial. She had to work during last years get together. Don, Christina, Dave and Tracy are joining us also. Hopefully Michelle, Tijuana and Kelly can make it. Miss you brother. Deb

Rest in peace Officer Uribe, Just wanted to take the time to thank you for your compassion shown to me by you all those years ago. Thank you for standing up for me when no one else would, it really means a lot to me. While I was being mistreated and degraded by another man, you had the courage to stand up for me and put an end to it and because of that you have a place in my heart. Thank you again Officer D. Uribe.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Dave, I can't believe it is coming up on ten years. I really miss your support at work. These young guys really drive me crazy at times. Lets just say their work ethic is lacking at times. I could always count on you being there to back me up on a call if you were available. I am working on getting the squad together and hopefully some of your family will join us. Dave you will never be forgotten.

I met Officer Uribe a couple of months before his passing. He was the Officer assigned to my complaint of an attempted sexual assault i reported. To hear on the news that day that he was taken from his family and this earth, i was devastated and to this day I think of him from time to time. I really felt great concern from his professionalism in handling my case. I did not know him on a personal level, but i feel as if, as I miss him everyday!

I did not know Officer Uribe but after reading his story in the New Times it brought tears to my eyes at the senseless killing of a father, husband, grandfather, and friend to so many. I write this because I am so tired of the violence and the people who do not care about anything but themselves. I am a Christian and I cannot wait until the Lord comes back. Thank you to the officer's, fire department and military men and women who put their lives on the line everyday. I pray everyday for God to watch over you!

Thankful today for your presence in our lives, even if it was for a brief time. Your sharp humor, your adventurous spirit, your quiet kindness are the things I remember most about you. And they are reflected in your children--I see them blooming more and more in Christopher and Catherine's lives. Thank you for your gift of them, too. They are blessings to us.
